11 day guide: Jujuy & Salta
Here we've compiled an 11 day road trip guide to the north of Argentina. We'll recommend things to do within two different states, Jujuy & Salta. We'll start and end in Catamarca City, located in the Catamarca state. We recommend starting your journey in San Salvador de Jujuy, if possible!
TIPS: Have a gallon of water (in case), have non-perishable snacks,
know where your gas stations are!

Catamarca to San Salvador De JuJuy
Take off in the morning, drive 6 hours (passing through Tucuman) all the way to San Salvador de Jujuy. When you arrive, enjoy a delicious meal at a "farm to table" styled restaurant named Finca cuisina urbana. We recommend staying the night in San Salvador de Jujuy.

San Salvador De JuJuy to Humahuaca
On your way from San Salvador de Jujuy you're going to pass a small town called Uquia. Take a quick stop at the lookout point along the route, allowing a beautiful view of the Seven Colored Mountain. As you leave, check out the beautiful cemetery. It's called "Maimara; paleta del pintor." An hour more and you'll make it to Humahuaca , the town of "Hornocal" otherwise known as the Hill of 14 colors.
Hornocal is one of the most well known things in this area because it's a smaller version of Manchu Pichu. Neat fact? There are actually 19 different colors but when they named this spot, the figured it would be easy to remember if it was 14, just doubling the Seven Colored Mountain name.
